Nick Jude and Emma Gibbs wedding at Orton Hall Hotel, Peterborough

29th July 2015
What a wonderful couple Nick Jude and Emma Gibbs are. Nick must be Emma's hero as he did almost all the wedding planning. When they first hired me I asked Nick what the most important thing about their wedding to him and his response was that he wanted to make it the best day of Emma's life. Best answer ever! Emma looked stunning - I don't think it's possible to take a bad photograph of her! She serenely sashayed her way through the day in her gorgeous dress with effortless elegance. Again, what a couple!

After my wardrobe malfunction at Matthew Barber and Nicola Winstone's wedding, this time I decided to trip over a hedge and tumble backwards half way through the group photographs. At least I had the foresight to peep my camera back over the hedge and photograph them all laughing at me! I might have to do that on purpose next time as it certainly got lots of nice happy smiles and laughter! Perhaps it was also part of the reason Emma kindly sent me a message saying...

"Thank you in helping to make our day so special. You're not just a great photographer but a really nice guy that kept us all smiling and laughing throughout the day and the photos. They're fantastic, we're so happy with them"

Unfortunately I wasn't the only person to fall over. Emma's gran tripped over and cut her face right before the group photos. Luckily I had some pain killers in my bag (heavy camera equipment can be tough on your back after 10 hours!) which took the edge off for her. An hour later I had a chat with her and she looked much happier and was even game enough to pose for a 'bloody' photo.

Orton Hall Hotel is a stunning venue inside and out and the team there is fantastically well drilled. There were lots of kids at the wedding so the lovely grounds were perfect for them to rampage around in happily and safely.

As with any wedding, a huge support group of suppliers helped make the day run smoothly, look fab and ensure everyone had a wonderful time.
