Chequers Inn Woolsthorpe Wedding - Keeley and Emma

THE CHEQUERS INN, MAIN STREET, WOOLSTHORPE, GRANTHAM, LINCOLNSHIRE, NG32 1LU

The whole of Keeley and Emma’s wedding day was at The Chequers Inn in Woolsthorpe, near Grantham.

They both looked so beautiful and demure during the ceremony, but they didn’t hold back in the evening…!

The Chequers is ideal for a wedding if you’re looking for a relaxed vibe in beautiful countryside. There’s a huge hill right behind the venue and Keeley and Emma were awesome enough to agree to jump over the style and walk a little way up it to get some lovely shots.  Fluffy white clouds hovered above the hill to make the scene picture perfect.

Another great photo opportunity at The Chequers Inn is they light up some hanging lanterns in the garden which look beautiful at dusk.

But nothing is more important at a wedding than the guests. I had such a laugh with everyone. For example…

…Keeley’s daughter had a Champagne bottle erupt in her hands despite me explaining that she shouldn’t take the cage off the cork until the very last moment. She got drenched but laughed her ass off - which is the only good response to something like that!

…Keeley’s sister crushed everyone in a drinking competition. You’d never guess it looking at her, but that girl can down a pint of Guinness in about 5 seconds.

…Emma’s mum was in great spirits despite having a broken leg and she laughed hysterically for the camera when I started photographing her toes!

…The space hoppers seemed to be used for everything except hopping! I saw them headed like footballs, used as clubs to beat each other with and as air bags so lads could run at each other like lunatics. And I thought I was creative!

To illustrate just how wonderfully chilled the whole day was the meal and the speeches were all done outside in the sunshine. There was no seating plan - we all enjoyed the BBQ together and mixed and mingled.

In the evening the band rocked the dance floor and Keeley’s sister sang the first dance.

A little while later Jaeger bombs started and everyone really cut loose.

My evening finished with big hugs from the girls and a massive smacker on the lips from Keeley. I guess my work there was done! Good times.

Here are a few of my other favourites from the day…

I’d really appreciate any likes and comments below. XO
