Putteridge Bury wedding photos - Daniel and Christina (and 2 more Daniels!)

Putteridge Bury looking majestic in the evening light

Daniel and Christina had a beautiful Autumn wedding at the majestic Putteridge Bury in Luton.

They booked me after seeing me photograph a wedding they were guests at, which is always a lovely way to get picked.

Great banter and a chilled attitude meant the chilly weather was barely noticed as we celebrated surrounded by a kaleidoscope of Autumn leaves.

In the morning they both got ready at The Hilton Garden Inn North, which is only a few hundred yards up the road from Putteridge Bury. In fact they got ready in adjacent rooms so I could flit between them both without needing a second photographer.

In the morning Daniel was looking after their toddler son, also called Daniel. In retrospect maybe they should have chosen a photographer who wasn’t called Daniel, to save on confusion!

Baby Daniel tried to steal their thunder as he trundled around amusingly throughout the wedding ceremony; but it wasn’t a problem as he’s a lucky boy with very chilled parents. I think they share my feeling that it’s those funny little moments that are more important at a wedding than wanting perfection.

After the ceremony we gathered on the Putteridge Bury terrace for the confetti run and group photos.

Putteridge Bury is great for wedding photos as it has some grand old architecture and the gardens are beautiful too. As the wedding was in the middle of November we got the very best colours in the Autumn leaves. There’s also a pond which is great for creating reflections in the romantic photographs and in the big group photo of everyone.

In the evening Christina flaunted an impressive knowledge of official dance moves to cheesy pop tunes. Apparently The Macarena is just one of many and she knows them all!

Here’s a small selection of their wedding photographs that give a flavour of the fun we all had and how Putteridge Bury made the perfect backdrop.
