The Old Bridge Hotel Huntingdon - wedding photos of Oliver and Zoe

Ollie and Zoe’s wedding at The Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon was super chilled as they were keen to focus their attention on their guests by stripping away some of the usual wedding traditions such as speeches, first dance and cake cut etc.

This meant time pressures were removed and everyone could focus on catching up, eating, drinking, laughing and crying (the good kind!).

The Old Bridge in Huntingdon is great for weddings and wedding photos for a number of reasons:

  • Cyril their wedding coordinator is a great guy who’s super-helpful and on the ball

  • The food is fantastic!

  • You’re right next to the bridge and the river which are both beautiful backdrops for photographs

  • The building is beautiful inside and outside and house a retractable awning so you can stay outside even when it’s raining

  • There’s plenty of parking and accommodation and you’re 5 mins walk from the centre of Huntingdon.

…But back to Oliver and Zoe’s wedding….

Zoe and her dad were both nervous about the wedding day so I was particularly touched to get this lovely Google review from Zoe…

Dan was a fantastic photographer!!!! We are so happy we booked him! Dan made the day so incredible, he really helped with any nerves or fears and made everything so relaxed and fun. Dan felt like a part of the day, like a guest! It was fantastic having him there!

Zoe’s bridesmaids must also take a lot of credit for keeping Zoe relaxed because they were all wonderfully bonkers!

For example, they all took turns to lick Zoe’s leg during the morning; for no reason other than it was funny. Sterling work ladies!

About 2 minutes before Zoe walked down the aisle a colossal spider was spotted running around the ceremony room. Luckily a brave uncle scooped it up and hurled it out before the wedding was cancelled!

The rest of the day was free for everyone to enjoy their meal and socialise over a few drinks. Their minimalist approach meant everyone could relax and catch up without feeling rushed or pressured by schedules and responsibilities.

Here are a few of my favourite photos from a fantastic day.
